{{Template:PageHeader | PageImage = class-wizard.webp | PageHeader = Wizard General Leveling Guide }} As this is an advanced class guide it is assumed that the player has made it to the next section of leveling. For information on how to level the base class please return back to '''[[Mage]]'''. Disclaimer: This is not the only way to play Wizard, this is just what worked best for me, and a few others. == Mid Game Leveling == === Levels 70 - 130 === For this guide we're going to be going off the assumption you have just changed jobs to Wizard and are at a loss on how to progress from that point. Recommended Map: Goblin Cave / Goblin Village / Sanctum of Light As with the mage guide, I believe the best way to go about leveling is to know which gear you are after and try and get it along the way. Often times you will out level a zone in search of good gear / cards / gems. Below is the list of gear you should be aiming to get coming into Wizard, the goal is to get to 90% CTR or as close to it necessary for you feel comfortable farming. Once you change to Wizard you'll still want to farm in roughly the same spots for a little bit until you get enough job levels to flesh out a few of your spells. Stat Priority: You're still going to want to be aiming for 99 Int / Dex at this point, you should get them both to 99 around level 100ish. After you've achieved both 99 Int / Dex you have two choices, you can either put points into Vit for survivability or you can put points into Agi for more DPS. Vit gives you more health and Agi gives you global cooldown reduction, which allows you to cast spells quicker. Agi does not reduce cast time, but it does allow you to fit more spells in a shorter amount of time. For leveling purposes and the difficulty you can encounter getting enough CTR % to make game play feel smooth I suggest running the skills at these levels below. We also need to talk about gems. Your gems should be any of the capstone Wizard abilities. I suggest the ones that are capable of doing more damage, so [https://spiritvale.info/gems/freezing-field-gem Freezing Field Gem] , and [https://spiritvale.info/gems/hydro-vortex-gem Hydro Vortex] for now. If you have the gold or anyone is nice enough to give you one, [https://spiritvale.info/gems/meteor-gem Meteor Gem] and [https://spiritvale.info/gems/earthquake-gem Earthquake Gem] as well. When getting used to these spells if you want to aggro a large amount of monsters you can use Earth Spike to pull with the slow, this will make them easier to round up. Hydro Vortex is good to gather them all in one spot for your follow up CC/DPS. I would suggest going into Earthquake, followed by Meteor if they're still alive. This build is for soloing, I would suggest sticking with [https://spiritvale.info/maps/goblin-warcamp Goblin Warcamp], as it's the easier farm, but you will need to also make your way into The Forge to get your Mind Gauntlet, or buy one. The [https://spiritvale.info/monsters/goblin-warblade Goblin Warblades] are going to be what cause you problem as they can Shadow Step, so make sure you kill them quickly, trailing too many [https://spiritvale.info/monsters/goblin-warblade Goblin Warblades] can result in dying while grouping them up. I would suggest pulling them with Earthspike if you need to group, or casting Hydro Vortex if already grouped. If you're missing health, use Heal on cooldown, and stay ranged, you are a Wizard with a shield, but that does not make you a tank. Always be moving, make use of WASD while casting to stay ranged. Make sure you keep up Energy Shield and Haste. Your end game stats are going to be up to you, but you should aim for 99 Int / Dex and either Vit / Agi for the rest, or any combination of the two that you feel comfortable with. I would suggest going Vit for soloing though, as it just makes things easier and allows you to survive longer. The blow gear should allow you to have 90% CTR. ---- === Recommended High-Level Gear === {{RecommendedItemInfoBox | WeaponOneName =Staff of Eternis | WeaponOneMap =Night Garden | WeaponOneAttribute =Int | WeaponOneModifierOne =Magic Damage % | WeaponOneModifierTwo =Matk % | WeaponOneCard1 =Cyclops Bat Mage Card | WeaponOneCard2 = | WeaponOneCard3 = | WeaponOneCard4 = | WeaponTwoName =Compass of Dawn | WeaponTwoMap =Night Garden | WeaponTwoAttribute =Int | WeaponTwoModifierOne =HP % | WeaponTwoModifierTwo =Melee Damage Reduction % | WeaponTwoCard1 = | WeaponTwoCard2 = | WeaponTwoCard3 = | WeaponTwoCard4 = | ChestName =Mind Plate | ChestMap =Goblin Warcamp | ChestAttribute =Int | ChestModifierOne =HP % | ChestModifierTwo =Melee Damage Reduction % | ChestCard1 =Butterfly Fairy Card | ChestCard2 = | LegwearName =Mindweave | LegwearMap =Dark Forest | LegwearAttribute =Int | LegwearModifierOne =Mana Regen % | LegwearModifierTwo =MP Reduction Cost | LegwearCard1 =Cinderspike Card | LegwearCard2 = | ShoeName =Witchsteps | ShoeMap =Forest Labyrinth | ShoeAttribute =Int | ShoeModifierOne =Cast Speed % | ShoeModifierTwo =Movement Speed | ShoeCard1 =Spook Card | ShoeCard2 = | HeadgearName =Moonshadow Hat | HeadgearMap =Dark Forest | HeadgearAttribute =Int | HeadgearCard1 =Butterfly Pixie Card | HeadgearCard2 = | FaceName =Scholar Glasses | FaceMap =Abyss Library | FaceAttribute =Int | FaceCard1 =Goblin Trooper Mage Card | FaceCard2 = | UtilityName =Crystal Cache | UtilityMap =Crystal Caves | UtilityAttribute =Int | UtilityCard1 =Butterfly Pixie Card | UtilityCard2 = | AccessoryOneName =Mind Gauntlets | AccessoryOneMap =The Forge | AccessoryOneAttribute=Int | AccessoryOneCard1 = | AccessoryOneCard2 = | AccessoryTwoName =Azure Prism | AccessoryTwoMap =Crystal Cave | AccessoryTwoAttribute=Int | AccessoryTwoCard1 =Fire Mage Card | AccessoryTwoCard2 = | ArtifactName =Eternis Artifact Set | ArtifactMap =Night Garden | ArtifactAttribute =Int | ArtifactModifier =HP % Matk % }} == Endgame Overview == For bossing you're going to want to put on a [https://spiritvale.info/cards/snout-robot-card Snout Robot Card], and take your shield off for 25% more damage. Try and get [https://spiritvale.info/equipment/crystal-wings Crystal Wings] for your Utility spot, even as just a base roll it's better than the [https://spiritvale.info/equipment/crystal-cache Crystal Cache]. You can take [https://spiritvale.info/cards/goblin-warchief-card Goblin Warchief Card] for a slight damage upgrade over [https://spiritvale.info/cards/cyclops-bat-mage-card Cyclops Bat Mage Card], and [https://spiritvale.info/cards/cosmic-entity-card Cosmic Entity Card] can replace your [https://spiritvale.info/cards/goblin-trooper-mage-card Goblin Trooper Mage Card] for bossing. If you can get a [https://spiritvale.info/gems/focus-gem Focus Gem] you can take off some of your other sources of CTR % and put more damage oriented cards in those slots. You're going to want to be using level 10 spells for bossing, as it's going to do more damage, stay as far at range as you can. I would suggest the follow rotation, but the only important things is that you make use of your attunements from your bolts and elemental exposures. Earthquake > Fire Bolt > Meteor > Fire Pillar x 3, Ice Bolt > Hydro Vortex > Freezing Field > Earthquake You can basically just repeat it at that point. The gems I would suggest using baseline would be [https://spiritvale.info/gems/meteor-gem Meteor Gem], [https://spiritvale.info/gems/fire-pillar-gem Fire Pillar Gem], [https://spiritvale.info/gems/hydro-vortex-gem Hydro Vortex Gem] and [https://spiritvale.info/gems/freezing-field-gem Freezing Field Gem.] If you do get a [https://spiritvale.info/gems/focus-gem Focus Gem] I would replace Hydro Vortex as it does the least amount of damage of the spells listed. Example of boss dps build. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-I_9U1UDe6c == Tips and Tricks == Stay at range and use Free Cast to move out range of the larger AoEs from bosses, by clicking on the map where you want to cast it will auto move you as close as you need to be to cast that ability.
